I am proud to have attended the report launch event hosted by Small Business Britain. I was joined by my MP and other female founders.

Huge thanks to Small Business Britain f:Entrepreneur Square ClearPay for an amazing report launch of the Female Entrepreneurship: Moving Forward report.

I love these events because I am always energised and inspired by the brilliant entrepreneurs present. The founders are authentic, warm and passionate about their work.

I continue to be grateful and impressed by our new MP Chris Coghlan, who joined me and my fellow founders today. Thank you Chris for taking the time to listen and engage.

So what’s this report all about?

Small Business Britain, Square and Clearpay have been working together to understand the opportunities and challenges for female entrepreneurs in the UK. They surveyed over 1,000 female entrepreneurs, conducted in-depth interviews and visited business owners throughout the UK. Read the findings here:

The message these days tends to be ‘think big and shop small’. I think this *should* be: Think big and invest in women. We must invest in all women, of all ages and colours and abilities and backgrounds. We must collaborate and build community and provide access to funding, partnerships, training, investment opportunities, and support.

I’ve been fortunate to meet so many innovative and supportive investors, visionaries, entrepreneurs and leaders along my journey who have helped and supported my work. I have and will continue to connect my network and women. I hope you will join me.

Women tend to be purpose driven entrepreneurs, motivated by a different set of positive values to benefit all. I love being around these entrepreneurs and hearing their stories. It was a privilege to meet new people and to reconnect with my colleagues and friends. Thank you Michelle Ovens CBE, Karen Campbell and your team for this report and for all of your work.

✨ Long may it continue. Until we meet again, brilliant and fierce founders.
